Frodo ... if he hadn't gotten rid of the Ring, all the others would have died.
BTW ... if you can find a copy of "Bored Of The Rings", buy it! It's an old book put out by Harvard Lampoon (before they became the National Lampoon).
"In a dream, a figure bearing a pair of scales appeared to me and read from a small card, 'Five-eleven's your height, one-ninety your weight, you cash in your chips around page eighty-eight'."

Without Frodo destroying the ring, Sauron would rule all of Middle earth, so it could be argued that Frodo was the most important. However, had Aragorn not defeated the Nazgul on Weathertop, Frodo would have been killed and the ring taken.
So I guess my vote is for Aragorn.
(This is like asking which of your children you love best!)

Elijah Wood - Frodo was the main character. He was the one who had to set things right by throwing the ring into the volcano. Once that was done, then it was easier to destroy the evil. The King got the throne, but Frodo's journey got him there. It was good that Frodo got his reward in the end.

The way that I see it, everyone thereis important. They are the characters that make the story possible. But then without Frodo the story could be a bit messy though. Without destroying the ring, Aragorn wouldn't even be king but more like a dead king.

frodo- you know how in the end everybody bows to the hobbits? yeah, a little cheesy but if Frodo didn't get the ring destroyed, the kind and everybody else would have been dead. Frodo all the way!

Elijah Wood is a fag, somebody else could have carried that ring. Viggo Mortensen is a badass, not just in LOTR but in every movie he's in. Why are you worried about three movies about somebody walking anyway? And why did Frodo and Sam never do anything about their obvious gay attraction toward each other?

If you're talking about characters, Frodo is the most important. He has to dispose of the ring!
