Do you mean "adhesiolysis"?
Adhesiolysis is the name of a procedure used to remove scar tissue inside the uterus and in the reproductive tract. This procedure is generally used when scar tissue becomes problematic due to pain symptoms or interference with fertility.
Please see the webpages for more details on Adhesiolysis.

adhesiolysis? the lysis (breakdown) of adhesions in the abdomen?

a procedure often done by laparoscopy in response to bowel obstruction or abdominal pains caused by these adhesions - but bearing in mind that it was abdominal surgery in the first place that caused the adhesions...

is this what we're talking about?

Sorry, this isn't a word. It's close to a few, but, not really.
Lysis means to seperate, or a cell dying. Maybe this helps a little. ;)
