That depends on what the mothers situation is. If he already has emergency custody it must have been something bad against the mom for him to get the kids. Yes he does have a good chance of getting them.

I believe that it all depends on the situation. There has to be a set
date as to how long this emergency custody will last, and I think that only a judge can determine this . The judge has to look at the case and find out who, how, what, why. Then the judge needs to determine if the father is fit too have custody of his children. But I think that yes, a father should have temporary custody until the
child/children are able too return to their mother.

You will more then likely be granted temporary custody. Temporary custody is exactly what it says temporary, but you have the children now so I'de be more worried about getting full custody of your children, after having temp. custody. Good Luck to you this is a tough issue!

Not sure...an emergency is just that, NOT always the best place. That is why there is a hearing.
