why would we live there?

If the world literally came to an end, nothing on it would survive alive.
If it happens, which I personally think it will not, that human beings will colonize another planet and live there without any dependency on earth whatsoever, human beings might survive but that's about the only way.
It could be argued that some humans might be in orbit at the time of total destruction, but even if they escaped annihilation, their supplies would eventually run out and they would die.
The Bible states in Revelations, that this world as well as the Heavens will be destroyed and a new Heaven and earth will exist but that humans as we know now will be changed as well so in a sense, humans won't survive that either.

Don't put too much stock in the news. Turn off the TV. Live life to the fullest and be kind and don't litter. Don't do anything dangerous to yourself or others. People watch. When the end comes, it does, but thinking about it will only depress you. Having faith that there is an afterlife will help you also.
