I'm new to ebay and am not sure if it's OK to give a buyer my contact info, so he can forward it to the bank. So, he can send a money order.

If you have a WINNER of a product that you are selling at eBay, and want to get paid by Money order, then by all means.

Take a look at the BUYER's feedback. If they have successfully BOUGHT or SOLD a number of items at eBay, then they can probably be trusted. Read the feedback. Then send your mailing address.

This is less of a technical question than a question of common sence. It really has nothing to do with ebay. You don't know this person, you don't know that they are who they say they are...therefore you shouldn't trust them. Using a money order over ebay is also a really bad idea, as there is no protection between the two parties. I would recommend using a service like paypal, so that you don't have to give away your information, and that there is a method of recourse if the other party scams you (this is also why ebay suggests you use paypal). If they refuse to use paypal, then I wouldn't do business with them, but that's just me.

Normally they use checks or pay pal over e-bay.
