Without trying to be crude I never understood why dogs hump appendages, be them arms or legs. Wouldn't a male dog look to hump something that is more....hmmmm....enclosed?
Wait! I'm having a revelation! The only logical explanation is that....
Your dog is gay! That would explain his erotic fascination with big arms and legs. Knowing this I would've made him stop before he finished, but given him Liza Minnelli concert tickets for being such a sweetheart.

I don't think that that was the real reason he didn't want to stop him. People who are afraid of pit bulls will always opt to get them away as soon as possible. I think your friend actually was enjoying it. He didn't want to see the lipstick hide again.
Personally, i think what i would have done is considered mistreatment of animals. That's why i don't let randy dogs near me.
