well my dad fond this coin and it is probably american cuz the writing is in english the front says holiness in the lord the back says pure gold ten dollers. theres two really weird desghns on the front and back. its really old and im not sure what it is and i would also like to know if it is worth somthing

we fond out its mormon the one symbol is a hand shaking the other and there were 70000 made and only 12 are real. how do i find out if its a real one or a replica

in fine it is $140,000
in Almost-Uncirculated it is $300,000

An easier way to find out if it is real would be to weight it with a gram scale. Then go to the library and look at any american coin book for what the weight is supposed to be. The replicas are always lighter than they should be. If not, take it to a dealer and he can do the same for you.

I'd suggest you take it to a museum. Some museums have coin departments, they can help you find out the meaning of the coin. If not, try looking for reputable coin collectors and research the coin thru them.

i think it might be a coin b4 independence that makes it a british coin . in that case u might get a few thousand dollars if u auction it (there are lots of people who would pay a lot if they know its original)
