I tried doing admin work at home (not an online company) and found it was almost impossible unless my kids were at school.

The disruptions are unpredictable, their needs are constant and the younger they are, the harder it is for them to understand "mommy's working".

If your kids are old enough and you have a separate, office space within your home, you are likely to be able to jungle work & Mom. But be wary of the employer who doesn't separate work from your personal life. And definitely don't spend your own money to set up your workspace, unless you are going into business for yourself.
