Sounds like it could be a reaction to something that you are allergic to.
Both the ulcer and rash could be connected, and both I should think could also have been brought on by stress.
Your body's immunity breaking down in some way.
Go back to your doctor and ask them to do a food allergy on you as this could be what has given you both symptoms if not down to stress.

It sounds like eczema, i have had it all my life and my baby son has it too. ask ur doctor 2 prescribe hydrocortisone cream (the first cream they usually try on eczema which is not just a moisturiser), this should calm it down nearly straight away. make sure u use plenty of moisturiser all the time especially after a bath/shower. if this doesn't work (or not well) try asking 4 a steroid cream, they often do the trick.
AVOID SODIUM LAURETH SULPHATE it's a drying agent even found in moisturisers so look at the ingredients.

You say you've been prescribed cream and anti-histamines so i gather you've had that rash seen to.
Peptic ulcer may/may not be linked to the rash. I don't think it is actually but after six weeks, no improvement ... You should really go back to your doctor and tell him you want something done about both!
Best wishes

The rash may be a side effect to medication that you are taking for the peptic ulcer, if you google this question it will bring up all the side effects from each form of medication taken

it sounds exactly like the rash i have got,my arms and legs are the only places affected though, and the back of my neck, mine appeared after i'd been out in the sun,got a lovely tan but now feel embarrassed to show it off,i went on nhs direct helpline and self diagnosed myself with prickly heat,i'm now using e45 itch relief cream which really does help, especially first thing in the morning when i've been sweating and i could scratch my skin off because it feels so good when scratching but once you stop it starts stinging, hope this helps, you're not on your own :-(

,,I had what is referred to as Urticaria...its a non specific rash syndrome which seems to appear and dissapear at will.....it drove me mad, and just like you I was taking and applying all sorts of pills and potions......and then just as mysteriously it went away, overnight. My GP put it down to nerves and stress......and with the upset of your ulcer it could, very well be, connected.
