There isn't anything hilarious about being hit. Whether a man or woman does it. It's abuse, unfortunately some don't see it that way.

The men and women that share in that kind of humor are generaly doing it in jails or institutions. If not now, they will be soon. That or dead. Sometimes the shock value off an off colored joke will evoke laughter.
What it really is though, is nervous chuckling.
