2012 is an interesting year in the prophecies. According to sources, the bible code a meteor or comet will strike the earth ending all major life (such as the one that ended the dinosaurs. Also, the Mayan calendar ends, according to researchers, on Dec 12 2012. In another source that I read 2012 is 2000 years since the birth of Christ if you take into account different factors to add 12 years (such as he was born in 4 and there have been some playing with dates over the years).
I’m sure you can find more prophecies for the future, i.e. Nostradamus or other psychics. But if you look back in history, there have been many “end of the world” predictions, so take what I say with a grain of salt.
I hope the end is not 2012 since I plan to retire that year.

According to the Mayan calendar, December 21 2012 is the end of the Long Count and to many it means the beginning of a new era in the world, an era that could possibly bring us to a greater level of spiritual understanding and a shift in consciousness, an upliftment of the earth's vibrations if you will.

There are some tibetian monks who does remote viewing sees E.T. coming down to us.. It was predicted that nuclear weapons will be so advanced, that countries will use it against each other, and the E.T. will descend to save us from destoying ourselves.
By 2012, it was believed that more people will become spiritual. Just a prediction though...

In 2012 the olimpics will happen, US president elections will happen, there will be smaller cars, we will be able to video conference from our cell phones, and I will be older =)
