Buying a used aluminum manifold (Edelbrock). There appears to be a hole in the underside that has been plugged. How do you repair a hole/crack in aluminum? Thanks.

J-B weld if heli-arcing is too costly. Or buy a new manifold and not worry if it will leak.

you can take the mainifold to yor local welder and have it heliarcked witch a low temputer weld. the can fill the crack or hole and grind it to a smooth finish . heliarcking at this low tempature will not weaken the alumminum or cause worpage .
after you get it back or before you the welder check it with a straight edge if possible. this will ensure that you get a sel on the gasket

Weld it. Have a competent aluminum welder do it for you.

Don't buy it. find another without a crack. you never know how bad it is. if its real bad youre out all the money and have nothing.
