depends on if he's sober or not, and how the situation is. But you are saying you have to be there can't leave the scene (hiding or running away or call cop for help) I would call out to get attention of bystanders hopefully someone will be brave enough to help me out. but i will fight of course, he's only 7" taller than an average man. i would hesitate more with a dude like 6'9" and depending on how heavy/muscular they seem

I live in NY and it is illegal for us to have a gun, though most have one anyways, because of the Rockafeller Law.There were just too many murders during the 70s and 80s.But it is my constitutional right to bear arms."You have the right to bear arms".But that also means you don't have the right to protect yourself.The only way to get a pistol permit in NY is to have a special reason and you must qualify.You have to be a business owner or a security guard.Or a correctional officer.If somebody starts to bother you for no reason, he has more than a right to get shot.Well, that is just the NY mentality.But i don't have a gun or a permit to have one.You can do 6-12 months in jail if caught with a handgun.But I always carry a knife, and you can get stabbed.PROTECT YOURSELF.And if it is a female.Carry pepper spray.

Yup! I'd whoop his @$$ too! Never underestimate a little guy, at 5'6" I've beaten a LOT of bigger, taller guys both in the ring (I'm a Muay Thai boxer) and out. Best way is to surprise them, shoot out a left jab, then elbow them right across the eyes, in most cases their nose will just explode in a hail of blood. Either they'll lose all will to fight or their eyes will be so full of tears (natural body response) that they can't see anything. After that, swivel right, lock them in a Thai clinch and pound the crap outta them, they'll never know what hit them!

Yes, if there's no choice, then of course.
Take a self defense class, and you will learn ways to quickly take sombody like that out. People like that will not be expecting a flashbang response from someone they are trying to intimidate.
You can disable them in a matter of seconds.
I wouldn't say how in this forum, because then bad people may try to use the information. In a self defense class you will learn that size does not matter that much.

Then you have no choice but to fight and do the best you can. If you can at least hurt him or stand up to him you may get some respect and the bullying may stop.
