Try out CCleaner (Crap Cleaner)
Also Winpatrol, it controls all the backround applications that might be slowing it down.

You probably need to upgrade your computer if you want it to go faster. OR, if there is some programs in your system and your not using, get rid of them. (defrag again after you uninstall) Also get rid of the icons on your desktop. Go to START / RUN type in msconfig click on START UP and uncheck all the programs you dont need to start up when you boot up, restart. That may help you in the short term. Otherwise, pony up and buy a new system. Buy a system that you can grow into, not some POS that you cant upgrade. You will be happier in the long run.

This may or may not, help, I'm not sure, but, it's worth a shot..
Shut down your puter by normal shutdown procedures, unplug the cord from the power supply, on the back of the puter. Press and hold the power button for 60 seconds. Release, plug the power cord back into the power supply, and then reboot...

The only thing I can think of is if you have internet explorer, get rid of it & get mozilla firefox. It's better, has an accelerator, & doesn't have near the problems I E does. good luck. www.mozillafirefox.com.
