You want to make friends with Canadians?!? Really?
Come on, you can do better than that! Why, there's a whole world of people out there, almost all of them *not* Canadian. Why not try making friends with them instead?

1- Move to Toronto, a great city.
2- Find an embassy with the Canadian flag on the flag pole.
3- Go to any hockey game.
4- Wait for the next Olympics!

The best way to make friends is to be one. Take a chance and make a friendly overture. Not everyone will respond as you would like, but some will, and when they do you will have made a friend! The reward is worth the risk of being rebuffed.
