The only one of the original 7 wonders of the world still standing are the Pyramids in Egypt.
The other 6:
The Tomb of King Mausolus at Halicarnassus
The Lighthouse of Alexandria
The Hanging Gardens of Babylon
The Temple of Artemis (Diana) at Ephesus
The Statue of Zeus at Olympia
and The Colossus of Rhodes
have all been destroyed now, although sections are in various museums around the world.
There is no strict list of modern wonders - every book publishes a different one...
But I think the one I would choose would be the Taj Mahal in Agra, India - it is by far the most beautiful building I have ever seen in my life. Any list of modern wonders that does not include it has been composed by an idiot.

I've seen the Taj Mahal, and the Pyramids of Egypt.
Would love to visit the Great Wall of China too !

Yes i have visited the Taj Mahal twice. But unfortunately it has dipped in the world rankings and gone to umber 20. Would love to visit all of them.

I have visited the grand canyon....it is the most magnificent place I have ever seen. It is hard to imagine how many millions of drops of water and how many millions of years it took to carve it out. I always think about the Indians who sat there peacefully before we showed up and brought out caos......if you haven't seen it and you live in America.....you must make this a must see in your life time.

i have i visited the leaning tower of pisa, the pyramids ( i live in egypt already) lol , The Pharos of Alexandria , The Hagia Sophia ( in Turkey) , The Clock Tower (Big Ben) , Eiffel Tower , The Aswan High Dam( a city in UPPER EGYPT ) , Abu Simbel Temple , The Statue of Liberty

My wife and I go to Niagara Falls every couple of years. We actually got married there. I think it is worth going up there for a weekend and seeing the sights. On one hand you have the scenic Falls experience and on the other you have a car naval atmosphere on rainbow hill on the Canadian side.

I've been to Niagara Falls and Mammoth Cave. I'm not sure if Mammoth Cave is a wonder of the world.
