I think that old idiom is stupid and totally wrong. Ignorance is hell.
Lots of people like to say "knowledge is power" and other worn-out catch-phrases, and it's the kind of thing that usually spews forth out of the mouth of ignorant people. The truth is they don't understand one thing about knowledge or power. Ignorant people suck.

People seek knowledge when they are curious about something and want to understand in a way that opens up new opportunities to them.
We seek knowledge to increase our range of abilities and personal effectiveness in the world. We seek knowledge because we need to know, we need to answer our own questions, and we need to adapt to the challenges we have in our lives. We want to have an edge over our competition. We want to make life easier and better.

The bottom line is that gathering knowledge is one of the keys to unlocking your potential, and ignorant people seem to have only the potential for yet more ignorance.

It's just a saying. I would say a true version of that would say "Ignorance is a short lived bliss" because the truth will eventually shed light on ones ignorance. At that point all that bliss becomes guilt.

It depends on what your ignoring. If you don't acknowledge or delve further on nasty things in life it's blissfull to be unaware because it won't upset you or play on your mind but if you seek knowledge on things that have no personal effect on yourself then thats a positive thing as you have the power of knowledge which mentally helps you learn and grow. I'd say it's all about positivity and negativty. Keep the positive and discard the negative.

lack of information isn't something extra then a welcomed excuse for laziness. i've got self assurance the 2d is extra honest because of fact by way of awareness not in basic terms is there deeper repayment for the attempt given regardless of if it brings a purity to the worldwide this is so particularly forgotten with lack of information. everyone are given the potential to reason and choose. Many purposely forged it aside with any of the failings you reported which contain "doubt, discomfort, superstition" or "untameable appetites" one factor you probably did not point out which i hit upon to be the main worry-unfastened is worry. a brilliant sort of cases I pay attention human beings say they're too afraid to do some thing for one reason or yet another. My favourite lyrics to quote at that factor is "worry is in basic terms the crutch that tries to hold you returned and change your needs to dirt". worry is what we use to flee what would be hard for us. while rather if we've been dedicated to what we've been doing the 1st factor we could ask is why are we afraid, and bypass from there. i think of many human beings have grown week and liable to the excuse of continually asserting "i can not try this". on the same time as some issues are impossible i don't have self assurance that there is something accessible that somebody can not do. can not is in basic terms asserting your will to not do some thing is more desirable then your will do to it. So, yet returned, if we are dedicated to doing some thing we could desire to continually hit upon the justifications we does not desire to do some thing, clean up our self self assurance issues, and decide for it.There has never been a quote truer then "while there's a will there's a fashion", in basic terms make certain how sturdy your "will" is.

There is no limit to what you can learn so you may die discontented because there are things they never got to learn in the lifetime. Whereas an ignorant people don't have that thirst for knowledge.
