As a matter of fact I've seen that movie 5 times and never seen George Strait in a single frame of the movie. Is he an extra or something? Where does George appear in the damned movie? I've only heard a reference of him in the movie when Mel Gibson enters in the bar and "The fireman" is sounding all over the place, but it's only a vynil playing or the radio... Please, if anybody seen Strait in the movie please tell me WHEN and WHERE...
Thank you.

According to IMDB, he is a singer. I've never seen the movie, but from the looks of the entry in the database I think he was a backstage singer, like they just used his music, maybe. It listed two songs - "Fireman" and "A Little Heaven is Wearing off on Me". He is listed in a way that is similar to how Michael Buble is listed for Down With Love. He is never IN the movie, but provides music for it. Hope this helps.
Perhaps you can catch a glimpse of him in the other movies listed here : http://imdb.com/name/nm0833180/ they name him as a PERFORMER rather than just a singer. =)

He's not ever in the movie, but he's provided music for it.
