Keep them. The pictures especially if you have children. They need to see things weren't always bad between you and the other parent.

When my ex and I seperated I was only allowed to take my stuff-which wasn't a problem since I didn't like or want anything he had. He never bought me anything so gifts weren't an issue. As for pictures, I kept the ones that meant something to me, gave him the ones of him and his family, and put the odds and ends in a box in the top of my closet. You know when you might need a neat scenery picture of Colorado or Jamaica to decorate something.

I took all of "our" pictures when we seperated and I moved out. Later I went through them and kept what I wanted, then mailed the rejects to him. Most of the ones with us together I cut in half and mailed him his half. If we had children it would have been a different story. I probably would have saved them for the kids.
As far as gifts depends who wants what.

Pictures - I made an album for my daughter of the pictures of her father and us. Then gave it to her, and forgot all about it. She still got to keep the "memories", and I didn't have to see it ever again. Made sure I gave copies of pictures of just him and her to him.

Gifts - if it was something I liked, I kept it. (Since I usually bought myself gifts for events, and he put his name on them...it really wasn't a HUGE problem). If it was something I didn't care for, I either saved it for my daughter if it had value (the wedding bands and engagement ring) or had it made into something I liked or donated it to charity.

Cards - burned them. In an open fire, one at a time. Hey! I'm not a saint...and it felt REALLY good!!
