I left 11 field workshops REME in 1976 and have lost touch with all my pals there. Does anybody know the wereabouts of anyone such as "Harry (Haydon) Oakey, from Bury St. Edmonds John Hands from Warington or Sammy (Malcolm) Samuals, Brian Holroyed ect?

i had a similiar situation a few years ago, i found my old mates by contacting theTA UNIT in the town where they came from i found six out of a section , its the old saying birds of a feather fly together.
i foun two more by posting a small advert in the local paper. the salvation army are very good at tracing people they work on donations they contact the person to see if they want your contact
but it takes a fair while. then there is friends reunited website, a shot in the dark but who knows. regards LF
