Sometimes when I buy used kids clothes they smell great... sort of like a guy smelling detergent. I just thought maybe someone would know what it was. Either way, tell me what you use and maybe why you like it best. Happy answering

I have allergies and sensitivities to a lot of stuff, so I use All Free and Clear, which has no perfumes or scents added. The clothes come out smelling like...clothes. Not too glamorous, but it keeps me from sneezing or breaking out!

I use a natural detergent as I get rashes from things like Tide etc. They do a better job on stains like chocolate and grass. I also use a natural bleach. But I like to hang most of my clothes on the line as then they not only smell fresh, they are fresh. And the sun will kill any bacteria left over. It will also finish bleaching anything you couldn't get out in the wash.
I never use a fabric softener as it eventually builds up on the clothes, and after a while they start to smell sour. Also I like my towels scratchy - saves using a loofah and gets the circulation going as well as exfoliating.

Tide, and Downy. I also use clorox liquid bleach for colors, and calgon water softner (in the bottle) every time I wash clothes I like my clothes really clean and nice smelling. I ALSO use fabric softner sheets in the dryer. I'm very particular how i do my clothes.

I use Purex Mountain Breeze scent and Downy Febreze Meadows & Rain. I use a Downy ball in washer. My clothes smell soooo good. I don't use dryer sheets anymore since I learned how badly they clog up dryer vent.

Tide Free and Bounce Unscented.

My kids have serious allergies; getting rid of scents and dyes in all my laundry and cleaning supplies has really helped them.

I agree with TP. I love the scent of Gain and I also use the Gain dryer sheets. The scent seems to stay and to me smells fresh and clean. I also find that Gain works well with our water and it does not need to be hot water.
