I am 43 and my preferences is sex three times a day. I am obviously a bit younger than you but I haven't noticed any decline in my sex drive in the last twenty years and can't see any reason it wouldn't be strong twenty years from now. This is no normal amount of sex. The average couple only has sex about once a week with about two thirds of all couples ranging between once every two weeks and twice a week. Only 2% of all couples have sex once a day. Therefore you would still be unusual in a group of couples half your age. The only real factor is how much natural desire you and your partner have. However, it is not unusual at all for most people to assume that whatever amount of sex they prefer is normal and that anyone who wants more is abnormal in some way. I recall watching a British documentary where they kept insisting that anyone who wanted sex everyday is somehow addicted to sex. In reality there is no such diagnoses as "sex addiction" recognized by the American Psychiatric Association. The term sex addiction is primarily promoted by religious groups who have similar dislikes for most types of adult material and marital aids.
In reality, sexual frequency is not a problem unless it is associated with something else. For example, if you were using sex in place of affection or engaging in high risk behaviors. Your sex drive is perfectly normal if that is what you both enjoy. There is some loss of sex drive with aging but it tends to be a very slow decrease in men. It can be affected more dramatically for women after menopause but it doesn't have to be. Some women for example need a tiny bit of supplemental testosterone to maintain sexual desire after menopause. Other problems associated with aging like heart disease and poor circulation can decrease sexual function. Other chronic conditions as well as medications to treat them can also sharply decrease sexual function and this is probably why most people associate being older with less sex.

If i every make it to 65 i want to be just like you man its not normal but what is. i say enjoy it because alot of 65 yr olds are not.

I am a 72 year old male and I love sex as much as when I was 25 the only my spouse has some medical problems which slows up a little but we still sex.BJ

My husband is 66 and I am 58 and we have a very normal sex life. Not as active as yours, but that depends on the individual. My husband is very viral and does not look or act his age. Maybe your wife should count herself as lucky unless she does not like the sex everyday.

hey all you asshole males who tell the world you can't live without sex, **** off for it's all in the attitude and i'm happily married to my wife of 15 yrs., and our love life is wonderful but sex isn't the most important part of any relationship and for those who think it is, wake up!

From what I understand, while in terms of what the average population (myself and my husband included), no, it is not "normal", I would personally say it is very healthy and the "normal" is not a healthy level.
