If you're losing money, charge more.
I used to work at a KFC that had a buffet. Almost without fail really large people would order the buffet. Fat people and Amish...those guys would clean you out. LOL

I think the signs limiting trips would effect business , it would ruin the point of a buffet . You do have an exellent point about the airlines charging for 2 tickets . But the fact is the buffet is for fat people , people that eat healthy don't want to eat more than one plate .

Perhaps if you put up a sign that says limit 2 trips to the buffet, extra serving will result in additional cost, then label what that cost is. It will be taken without as much malice such as a sign saying Fat people will be charged double. Your tact and sensitivity to this issue will save your business and keep you out of court. Best of luck.

You are the restaurant owner - you SHOULD already realize you can charge whoever whatever you want. Then you can live with the consequences when
the media or ACLU gets ahold of this and customers quit frequenting your
restaurant and guess what? Your business is TOAST! Remember the old
adage about jumping over dollars to chase pennies!
You are not the "soup nazi's" brother are you??????

What about resturants charging kids full price for a buffet meal when they know kids eat about 1/4 of their serving. The world is not just is it? Then adjust your attitude and maybe it might make a difference in your life...................

You should be able to limit your buffet to a certain number of servings, make it "not all you can eat"
