I am a personal trainer and I work out, as well, 1 - 1.5 hours per day 6 days per week. I work with pregnant ladies, and as long as they have worked out intensly before pregnant, we keep that same intesity if/when they can't handle it anymore, and then take it down a notch, as it is great for them, and the baby. I plan on doing the same, myself. Just some answers for those that have been there. Thanks.
Also, I know breastfeeding is the only way to go for the baby. But what will it do to my breasts? I know you lose weight quicker, but will it make my breasts flat (I am 36C now)?
Overall, what can I expect out of my body, after my baby,if I continue to eat clean and workout hard d uring and right after pregnancy?
Thank you!!!

If you're 37 weeks and only gained 28 lbs then you should be able to lose the weight quite quickly. I gained 35 lbs and lost 25 within the first 2 weeks (thank you breast feeding!!!), 5 lbs another 2 weeks later and am still working on those last 5 lbs. I got back into some of my pre-pregnancy jeans about a month after having my daughter. I continued to wear a few maternity tops for a couple months (while the weight came off quickly the ab muscles didn't just magically appear, lol!). I did buy a few new tops but for the most part I'm back to wearing my regular clothes. If you breast feed the weight tends to come off quite quickly. And of course eating right and exercising (even just walking does wonders) will help. Congrats on the baby-to-be!

For me afew months. I didn't work out before or after. I just kept busy and took the baby for walks in a stroller. Breastfeeding also helps your body lose weight faster. My breasters are not flat and I have had 2 children. Your hips will widen, which you can't change, Other than that your breasts may go up a cup size, like mine did, or you may lose a size, like some women do. They probably will go flat and droopy one day, but not just because you had a baby and breastfed.

BTW Sadie, my breasts don't look like flat worn out tires and I breastfed 2. So either you were misinformed or yours were like that to begin with. Also these people that say they were back to normal in a week I find hard to believe, sure you lose lots of weight to begin with, mainly the water, but your body is dtill swollen and recovering from the trauma and that takes time. I lost most of the 41 and 60 pounds I gained right away but you still have a belly for awhile.

LOL Well, It's been 7 months and I'm still not fitting into them. But it's different for everyone. The basic rule is that it took 9 months to put it on, so give yourself a good 9 months to take the weight back off. Breastfeeding does NOT make you lose weight faster, since you need to eat more calories in order to insure your baby getting everything it needs. And breastfeeding will make your breasts flat and saggy, it just goes along with the having a baby thing.

I was able to fit back into mine the next day but not every woman is the same. Do you have good elastin in your skin? Ask your Mom how she fared during her pregnancy with you? I have always used baby oil right before I get out of the shower, pregnant or not and I have had 4 children and I am a 34B weighing in at 95 pounds at 5'[1" and I still have the body of a youngster. In fact, so much so, I am embarrassed to wear a bathing suit.

Baby oil. Baby oil!

Working out intensly while pregnant isn't what is best for the baby. Also breastfeeding isn't "the only way to go" .. it is AN OPTION. Your breasts will look like old flat worn out tires afterwards, but there are always push up bras.

Just for the record I never got down to my pre-pregnancy size after my first one, but then again I didn't try. After my second I was down to my regular size after a few weeks. I didn't work out and didn't need to. I was focusing on being a mom, not spending time AWAY from my child working out. That's insane.

I excersiced during my pregnancy and afterwards. I work out all the time in my own home with my baby, he even helps!!He is the most cuddly 15 pound weight you will ever see. I gained 33 pounds during my pregnancy with him and 4 months later I have 10 to go. I eat well to ensure that he eats well, you cannot diet if you breastfeed without compromising your milk supply, and i want to do what is best for him, not me.
as for breasts, I have a 34 D, it is now stretched to like an F cup, and I will be sagging afterwards. God gave girls beauty and gave women curves, this way girls can get a husband and women have enough energy to keep up with a family.

Just drink lots of water, eat lots of veggies, and ditch the red meat. Stretching is terribly important! And be happy!!!

1 week with my first. but much longer with my second. although i did not gain extra weight during both. i mean, with my first, 10.5 kgs, and second, 12.5 kgs. but you know, the body gets chanegd according the age too. if you are youbger, it is easier to get back to initial weight. but if are older and older with future pregnancies, it's a little bit difficult.

you should not be worried because the worse case is 1 year. if you don't do any exercise, eat light and breasfeed the baby -this is essential because you lose around 450-500 calories/day doing nothing but just breastfeeding- it is max. 1 year. as this is the firset pregnancy, much shorter.

don't worry and go on. :))

first kid took about 2 weeks. second kid it's been 7 weeks and still working on in. About boobs it just depends on your body. I breastfed for a year and my boobs went smaller after I quite breastfeading. It was push-up bra city. Now I am breastfeading again so I am scared to see if they get any smaller than before. Some woman go back to the way they were and they are lucky! And about workouts the doctor tells you not to do stomach stuff till after 6 weeks and still then they tell you to start out low impact and work your way up!

My son is 4 1/2 and I still haven't gotten the weight off...but I have a bad ankle and can't exercise a lot.

My first cousin, on the other hand, was able to fit into her old clothes within days after giving birth.

if you are as healthy as you say you are, you should have no problem, as long as you dont gain a ridiculous amount of weight, It took me about two months to get back to my original weight anf my docter said that was fast considering how much i gained(50 lbs). JUst keep staying healthy and you will be fine. try not do do it to hard on the excercise though, intense training is not to great when you are pg. good luck
