Stan "The Man" Musial - the greatest player to ever put on a uniform for the St. Louis Cardinals....played from 1939 - 63....3 time MVP....3630 hits and he was a role model, not a prima donna like so many of these overpriced cry babies that are playing today. He could do it all, hit, run, field, and he started out as a pitcher! A few years ago when they did that Top 100 list of All-Time Players, he wound up at something like Number 3 or 4 ahead of people such as Mantle.
