I think they are both equally important. Without faith, you cannot love, and without love, you can't have faith. If you're talking about faith along with religion, then I'd say love, but if you're talking about faith in general, I think you would have to have faith in someone to love them, and vice versa.

Love is greater by far.

Without Love, there could be no faith. Love allows us to have faith and in truth, faith is just another aspect of love.

Love. Faith can be extremely strong for positive and negative reasons. People kill each other in the name of faith. Millions have died for somebody's faith.
People can do noble things and sacrifice themselves for others in the name of faith but faith is still a belief n a belief is believing in something that isn't real. I see people all the time with faith but they have no love in their hearts.

Faith is a cheap substitute for the Real. When the impurities of the mind are stripped away pure love is all there is---it's inside us and it's in every stone, leaf, and star, it's the unmanifested as well as the manifested universe.

These days faith seems to be greater than LOVE. Everyone hops into bed w/ each w/faith that everything is going to be fantastic and end up w/a venereal disease or aids or emotional hurt. Or start living w/one another cause if it doesn't work out well each go on their merry way. And if there are children involved, oh well faith will help them through. Forget the mommies and daddy's'.
And then there the people that have faith in God, but do not apply themselves to him, just excuses that people are fake, they are not going to get their money, looking at the neighbors, who wrote the bible, etc etc etc I've heard them all. Oh faith that if God is real then he has to show himself.
Faith is the meat to LOVE.
LOVE is to be kind, patient, humble, generous, caring, respect, thoughtful and these are some characteristics of LOVE that build into faith. Not just "fly by night" decision to do what you want to do w/out meaningful, true commitments to yourself and to God. LOVE is faith.
Something so simple.....why do we LOVE our dogs? Because they are faithful. They have shown themselves to be loyal and true to us so it flows into LOVE.

hunger is greater then both .IF it were not for social taboo's on eating human flesh and the strong belief that one should die rather then survive most would eat a loved one .AS for faith there must be an assumed reward for this faith and a life lived in adherance of these believe's. I have taken it on faith that if it comes down to it i would do what is needed to survive .

Love is greater.
Without love, faith is too easily misused; and in some instances, it becomes a weapon. But when you get right down to it, the two can work together, but even then, Love is stronger or at least more prominent, because love can allow for faith or can cause faith to blossom, and ultimately...way deep down inside, you cannot have faith in someone or something if you feel no love towards it or them.

Love, because even people who don't believe in God can offer great service to others in this life. Think of the amazing force of motherhood or fatherhood, for example. I would agree with the answerers who indicated faith and love are connected. I would hope that those who have faith also have charity, or the pure love of Christ, and are actively exercising that faith and charity.

For the quick two points......The Bible says that Faith, Hope, and Love are some good things God gave us....the greatest being Love. So Love is my answer.

This line was also used in an Alan Jackson song, so who can argue with that?

Love, no question. Faith can make you believe in something that is not real, but love is always felt from within an individual and therefore must be real
