my limewire software's corrupted, & I tried 2 download the newer version.but the earlier one just won't get deleted,however hard I try.
HELP!!!!!!!!!

If the older version is still installed although I dont think so 'coz the newer version must have replaced the older version.If its files or shortcuts left by older version you may just delete them.Make sure that in the add/remove programs the Older version isnt there.If its there uninstall it first.Make sure you dont confuse the newer version files.

Do a MicroSoft system restore. Select a restore to date that was before your LimeWire got screwed up and restore to that date. Your system will now be as it was when LimeWire was functioning properly.

You should now be able to delete older version.

Some files of the uninstaller were probably overwritten. You got to delete it manually and remove the registry entries for LimeWire 2.2.4 to uninstall it.

it wont delete the previous version. a clean version is in basic terms an extension or fixations of a pair tweeks the older had. so the hot version will in basic terms take over the previous one thoroughly.

my computer/drive c:/program files/Limewire...then look for the uninstall file...it looks like the main Limewire icon

delete it through add/remove programs from control panel then reboot?
