Well for one, stop playing around on the computer and buckle down and attack your work!

Start with the essays. What is the subject matter or can you choose your own? If you can choose your own pick something that interests you and organize your ideas and start writing. As you write you will find your way. If you have assigned subject matter, do whatever research you need to do, organize your ideas and just start writing. Turn off the television, only have music on if it is not distracting and ignore the phone, etc. Tackle one project at a time. Finish it, take a break and tackle the next. Before you know it you will be done!

As for the exam studying...break things up. First review the material that you understand - take notes if necessary, then take your time and slowly and carefully study the things that you need to further understand. Write notes, whatever helps make things clear for you. Invite others to form a study group and quiz each other. I know that it is difficult during nice weather to make yourself do what you need to do, but the rewards will be worth it.

So STOP THINKING ABOUT IT - DO IT!!!!

Break your tasks down into small pieces, set a schedule for yourself and stick to it. If the essays are on the same topics or areas of study that you have your exams on, do the essays first. By doing the essays, you will also have helped prepare yourself for the exams. Set up a reward for yourself each time you have accomplished something on your schedule. It could be a call to a friend or watching a movie or TV show. Once you get going, you'll lose a lot of stress and feel more confident that you'll get your work done.

Well, sit down and get started!

First work on the 2 essays. Then, start to study. You can do the studying for about an hour each day-probably after you have supper.

Getting started is the "hard" part. Start writing and revising. You should have a nice assignment by the time it's turned in to the teacher.

As for procrastination, I guess the first step (besides admitting you do it) is to work a little on the project each day. It may get easier to go back to it once you have something to show for it.

I see your in college so I have adjusted my answer accordingly.

Get a tent and set it up in a backyard, State or National Park or where ever you can be where friends and family will not bother you. Set yourself up for a camp out for the next few days.

Actually, I did this with a screen tent (all I had) and my car (slept in it) at a State park. I stayed without phone and other contacts until I got three days worth of writing under my belt. Its funny how much you can get done when the distractions are removed.

When you go, only take food, clothing and your work with you. No tv, music, or other stuff to distract you. This alone time is a great chance to reflect on your life as well. After the first day (withdrawal time) you will find it much easier to focus.

Good luck and enjoy this peaceful chance to change and grow.

I hope this helps.

I know of no character flaw so destructive as procrastination. I venture to say that it is 99% responsible for most of the problems in this world.

I'm putting it all on the line, but I think there's some truth to this.

So here's a good link to avoid procrastinating again...

Japan lost World War 2 in two weeks
2 weeks is plenty of time.
a) Write those essays today. skip play-time. skip tv.
b) For the next 13 days, study.
c) After your exams, forget about everything, get on a skateboard and enjoy your life.
IF you don't... well, then option (c) won't happen, will it?

make a shedule/planner write everything u need to do down then put a time limit on it like essay1 9:30am - 10:30am if you cant finish it all set another time limit for later in the day. dont forget to do brain breaks! eat healthy too it will help. like lots of fish.salmon would be the best. lastly put on some very calm music like classical or something with no words to play when you are studying. dont put the volume very high, just have it as back ground music! i hope this helps!!!

get off here and start your work. Set aside a time and actually stick to it to do your work even it is in 1 hr increments daily for the next 2 weeks.
