Cool ideas for a theme party?

Ma's throwing me a 25th birthday - and I kind of want to go nuts cos instead of celebrating my 21st I got married (haha!)

I'd like a great theme where people have to dress up - but the kind of theme that actually makes people want to get dressed up...if that makes sense....

you know how some people can be dull about this kind of thing...

uh...she's throwing me a party...not a birthday...my bad...

pimps & hoe's is an easy one. & quite popular in sydney

my sister & her boyfriend are having a joint party in 2 months time and its goin to be a mystical creatures theme. (fortune tellers, unicorns & dragons or your star sign.)

another good one is your fav superhero or hollywood celebrity

if you say there will be judges and the winner will recieve a prize (movie tickets, cd voucher, little trophey or chocolates) there is more of an incentive for people to come dressed up.

This is me just typing out of the top of my head -

Since it's really hot outside, you may want to consider a beach party / tropical theme - everyone has a wacky t-shirt and shorts.. and if they don't they can get some pretty cheaply.. then you could get leis and serve lots of tropical cocktails and punches, like margaritas, patio punch, daiquiris, etc. along with your typical beer (perhaps getting a keg would help.) Maybe get some patio lanterns for the night.. a small barbecue where you could grill up some shish-kebobs with pineapple and other stuff.. if you have connections with a band that would be awesome.. a couple of my friends are DJs and I have to have one when I throw my yearly party at my place.. music is really important in a party.. just be considerate of the neighbors unless you want the cops coming over.

It makes human beings decide you by ability of your ability at dancing and your build quite than your facial advantageous aspects or what they already understand approximately you. super for pulling!
