Yeah it would be great if America withdrew from the rest of the world. The ordinary hard working and exploited peoples of the world might stand a chance of living decent lives. America and Britain have presided over the propping up of military juntas all over the world, wholesale slaughter in places as far apart as El Salvador and Indonesia. They have destabilised popularly elected governments, spent billions on illegal wars, fabricated a war on terror, escalated the build up of nuclear weapons, conventional arms and truly terrifying military technology. They have contributed on a huge scale to the environmental crisis facing the world and still pretend it isn't really happening, they have screwed up the Middle East so badly that it could take generations to put right. In short they have lied, cheated, conned and bullied their way around the world and can't even sort out the poverty and mess in their own backyard. So sure America (and Britain) f off and take care of yourself.

Oh dear that's what you have been doing. Well in that case just f off. You have lived off the sweat, toil and misery of the world for long enough.

I am not in favor of isolationist policies, but I actually think Bush is doing such a bad job with foreign policy, that I'd prefer isolation. Just watch, within a month or two, we'll be sending US troops to support Israel in it's annihilation of the Lebanese people (under the guise of stopping terror).

When hell freezes over.

Bush's political policy is absolutely dirty business. He would first sacrifice billions of dollars and hundreds of US soldiers, and then compensate the tremendous losses with the suction of the assaulted country's oil and natural resources.

It's a planned tactic; so sly and dirty.

i agree. unfortunately america makes too much money in "the rest of the world" and guess what? most of our oil comes from "the rest of the world". nasty places too. why do you think we're all over the place? unless you're willing to pay six or seven dollars a gallon for gas.....
