The books beat the crap out of the movies.

The books; no question. There is so much more in the books than can be put into a movie. Movies have to move fast, they have to be mostly action. Books can include what people think, what they say to one another in more detail than there is time for in a movie. Your imagination can fill in the blanks. In a movie, it is the director's imagination (and the screen writer, and the set designer, etc.) that fills in the blanks. Plus, a movie can only get so long; a book can take its time.

Not that I haven't enjoyed the Harry Potter movies; I have them all on DVD. But a movie cannot do what a book can do. That's why we continue to have both.

I think the books are better. J.K. Rowling gives so much detail. You can picture everything in your mind and its like your their at Hogwarts or Hogsmeade with them. Don't get me wrong the movies are awesome to. Daniel, Rupert, and Emma are doing awesome at it. I don't think they could have picked anyone better to do it. The movies also leave so much out of the book. In the movie Harry Potter and the Order of PHoenix I Hope the put the part of when Fred and George Weasley put the sawmp in the entrance hall when the leave Hogwarts. But in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire they didn't mention Hermione and her S.P.E.W. stuff. It really doesn't have anything to do with the Triwizard Cup but to see the expressions on Ron's (Ruperts) face. His expressions are hilarious!!!!

The books you can read and read and read and really never get completely bored with it (except at the beginning.) You wish that the last term won't end. You dont want JK rowling to stop writing them.

I like the books because there's so much more information in them! They have to leave out so much when they make the movies because her books are so long. They still do a great job with the movie, but I prefer to read the book and get everything!

Always books will be better than movies, bcoz when u start reading a book u will imagine the things given in the book.

and if the movie does not suit with ur imagination, the movie will be boring.

so if u happen to see a movie before reading the book and if u like the movie, then start reading the book.then it will be more interesting.

I think the books are better, mostly because the books can have a lot more detail. They left lots of stuff out in the movies and it was kind of annoying if you were looking for certain scenes in the movie and they weren't there.

I prefer the books. I must say that the films arn't really that good - The books are some of the best books ever written but the film can't live up to this title.

The books - without a shadow of doubt.

The movies are good - but they have only a fraction of the entertainment value.

The books stay with you far longer. You invest far more of yourself when reading & therefore they are more "real".

I LOVE BOOKS!
