Are you indeed depressed, clinically? Or just feeling sorry for yourself because you wish things were different in your life?
The excess sleeping can be an indicator of depression. And whatever anyone tells you, if you are indeed clinically depressed, you have an imbalance of chemicals in your brain that cause this. You may need to be on medication(s) but I would consider this that last option. You have a lot of soul searching to do before you run off seeking a prescription. And you would not get one until you've done the things I am going to mention.
I think you are better off than what you might think. Sometimes people are confused because they have no plans in their life. You do however, and that's good. And, you have a theory that your confusion and depression are caused by your not sticking to your schedule. That is also good. So you know why you feel bad and confused, and what to do about it. Why aren't you doing it?
Only you can answer how it feels to not stick to the time table. You must compare how you feel after sleeping too much and not getting your study time in to how you feel when you have budgeted your time more toward your time table. I would bet you feel much better when you are sticking to the time table.
Also, someone above mentioned exercise. You should be exercising. They were correct about the positive effects of exercise on the chemical composition of the brain. You should also review your diet. Eating healthy is also a positive motivator. Make certain you are getting proper nutrition.
Your life apparently has enough structure at this point in time. What you are lacking is discipline. And again, only you can make some of the choices of what makes you feel good, and what makes you feel bad.
Do the things that make you feel good if you want to feel better about yourself and your life.
After a few months of sticking to the schedule, exercising regularly and eating properly you still do not feel better, you might then consider seeking professional help. But as I said above, you have to come clean and get honest with yourself, before anyone else will be able to help you.
Discipline is a tough abstract concept. It is always with us. Some folks have none. Others have plenty. The more discipline you have, the easier your life will be.

yeah - it doesn't see, like 5minutes ago I was in the same place - but guess what it was 20yrs ago! I did fail my courses too - but I went on to have a good life. I do regret now not taking time out to study though and I realise that all those hours I lost sleeping too much can never be replaced! (20yrs go quick when your snoozing!). I am going to Uni in Sept to finish what I started all those years ago.
I would suggest finding yourself. Are you finding it hard to study because you are heading down a path that others expect of you? Thats what I did - now I know what I want and study is easy because it catches my interest and I actually find myself having to put down the books to get some sleep instead of shaking myself out of sleep to hit the books!
Find something you love and run with it - sit and think really hard about your dreams and the things you want to do with your life and if you dont have the answers then just take it a day at a time until you do. Life is a gift - live it to the full every minute cause you never know when it will end.
Remember to do things that you love to do - stay away from artificial stimulants that bring false short lived highs and discover thenatural high of living life to the full!

Dude if you have the time to be on here, you have the time to take care of your schoolwork. Its always amazing how people can find the time to do what they really want to do and complain that they never have time for what they have to do. It really boils down to this: what will happen to you as far as a job or your future if you wash out of school? Conversely what will be your outcome if you suck it up, graduate and continue to make yourself more valuable to society and prospective employers by gaining even more higher education? Point is you decide, but be prepared to live with the consequences of your decision. No one else can do this sort of thing for you, it comes from within. Those that truly excell at anything have a strong inner desire to be that way, natural talent only goes so far it must be harnessed and practiced to be of value. Now get out of bed and Get Er Done! :)

Something normal. You are a teenager. But try to get motivated and try changing your diet. Eat healthier and drink plenty of water. That itself will get your sleep regulated. And set up an exercise program of 10 minutes everyday in the morning to get some oxygen flowing to your brain. And make a check off schedule, everytime you complete something check it off so you can move on to the next task. Good luck you are still a teen ager, but these 3 years are very important if you are planning on going to University.

just remember that high school is not the be all and end all of life. If you fail a course, big deal you can always re-do it. This is an opportunity for you to realize where your strengths and where your weaknesses are. Use that info when you go forward with your life.

It doesn't matter what people here answer only you can improve Your own life. Just make a decision to knukle down to your timetable. Once you start it gets easier. It would be a good start to give up this site for a while, but like I said only you can make the decision to take this advice or any advice other people may offer.

Try watching less TV, get out and exercise daily (it releases hormones that will give you a sense of well being) and take a good multiple vitamin daily for the rest of your life, they build brain cells, help memory, improve concentration and prevent disease.
