yes very much so. shy is in base def as being fearful of public opinion. wherein reserved is not caring for the trivia of public opinion

When you are shy, it is not possible for you to do what you want to. When you are reserved, you feel a little above the job just at the moment.

Yes if you are shy you can't if you are reserved you don't.

yeah !! being shy means u are nt able to face certain situations and being reseved means u r nt willing to be in a situation..!
