I think I understand now...that left wing and right wing look at each other in regards to the extreme cases, highlighting those negativities, which in turn causes conflict towards each other. I am leaning toward left wing though definitely. Peace and love and all that but I will always work and take no handouts.

It means getting a job and working and making your own living without help from the goverment isnt what you want to do with your life.You would rather everything be handed to you and take full advantage of the system. You are also ok when terriosts attack our country, you have no desire at all to stop them or protect your country.Also,you belive child molesters shouldnt be in jail, they should be in rehab centers.And you are always up for a good flag burning. You are also lunatic enough to belive that 9-11 was done by your own goverment.You are basically a very very sick person who should just leave the country period.

He probably means it as an insult - being left wing is traditionaly associated with artists and hippies, people who want society to change to the disadvantage of fatcats and the religious rich on the right. It doesn't simply mean being democrat, for though they are more left than the republicans, they are still right of the centre ground, and therefore still more conservative than most european conservative parties.

It means that you are smarter then him. You do not take issues of national importance lightly and you weigh your decisions before you decide. It is the opposite of right wing where you practice the politics of what is good for you rather then what is good for the country or the future of the country.
