If "A" then "B", right? However this question cannot be answered by logic. If it were then Vengeful Hippi would be right -- baby oil would be made from babies. What a grusome thought. Baby oil is made from petroleum -- that's a grusome thought too. Just for the record, if one is looking for an oil for babies, try light oils such as sunflower, or almond, or coconut oil. Some Indians also use ghee (or clarified butter). Ayurveda says that if you cannot eat or digest a product, then it has no business going ON to your skin, because you'll end up digesting it anyway. Yum.... petroleum. LOL!

perhaps it is made from minerals since it is really mineral oil. After 8 children i never did figure out how to use it to keep em from squeekin'

No, it has vitamin E, and a bunch of other stuff. It's the most gentlest of oils and typically used on baby's because they have delicate skin.
