I wouldn;t want to eat antique cookies, I don't care what sort of jar they are in!

Now, seriously. If it was just bought at KMart or Wal Mart or some other chain store, probably not much.

Look on the bottom of the jar and find where it was made, find what it is made from and start from there.

Contact some antique dealers. Don't hold much hope that you have a fortune. If it has some unique motif or some "collectable" characteristic, you may have something of value. The problem then becomes finding someone who wants to buy it from you.

Who is the maker? Look for a pottery mark on the bottom.

A McCoy pot belly stove cookie jar is probably worth about $20
