This link shows some of the children's are work, my comments, and their final grade.
Parents thought I was too harsh being that the students are so young, but I dissagree.
What's your opinion?

Your being a B i t c h!!! You can't possibly expect a kid too make a masterpiece. Everyone sees things differently. The kids think its good so encourage them instead of crushing them.
-Maybe they draw like that because your a horrible teacher!

WOW, Shame on you. How can you ever give a student of art a grade of F for completing an assignment. Whether it was to your liking or satisfaction is purely irrelevant. Not everyone is an artist and grades like that should never be given. The student tried and competed the assignment. You could critique it and help that student further develop skills but to FAIL it. Shame Shame!! I had an art teacher rip up one of my paintings in front of the whole class and trash it in middle school. That was the most humiliating experience. Never again was I comfortable in any art class I HAD to take. I will never forget that nor forgive her. What you do to children can make a lasting impression on them for possibly a lifetime. The last thing you want is to discourage them from enjoying art and from trying. Beware and reconsider what you have done. In this case, I find for the parents!!

You have a strange sense of humor. It is obvious you are not an art teacher because there isn't an art teacher alive who wouldn't know these drawings are perfectly typical for a young child. Also, you would be immediately fired for using that kind of language.

If you were a real educator and teacher, you would never write such terrible comments to students and parents have every right to be upset. You cannot use the kind of language you did.
I think this was a joke, right?!

well, i can't say that the kids are incarnations of picasso, but i can say that you need to calm down. you're a teacher, that means you're helping out kids who aren't as good as u r.
Give em a C once in a while. it'll make em more confident of themselves. write this comment: CAN IMPROVE. it's better than YOU'RE USELESS.
if u still wanna give em F, become a teacher in an institute that trains teachers

If you give away good grade, it is meaningless. Grade should be given on the merits of the work presented.
