I keep a very clean home and I do not, in general, have a pest problem. However, about once a month or so, I find one of those disgusting, huge, flying cockroaches in my home.

I am wondering where they are coming from? How do they get in?

I have checked all over the place but found nothing that looks like they could get in from.

Does anyone know where these disgusting things like to land or how they usually make their way into homes?

Thanks

Well, I hate to break it to ya... but your name is 808allday. Isn't 808 Hawaii? If that's the case then unfortunately you will never be able to get rid of large bugs. The best you can do is have someone come in and spray insecticide to kill roaches, but honestly, you will start finding dead cockroaches all over the house. You just can't win with flying cockroaches.

They enter while you open the door even for a second...the good news is they cannot survive inside that why you find them in the middle of a room on their back... Check outside do you have palms around your house... did you trim your bushes?? Also, I would check for leaks under your kitchen & bathroom sinks...they love humidity!

They are called Palmetto Bugs. They come out at night usually, and live in Palm trees. Do you have a Palm tree close to your entrance? They are ugly, but won't bite. They like light. That is what attracts them.

I hate those things! They can also be brought in from stuff you buy at grocery and warehouse stores, as well as coming in through cracks and windows.
