IDoes PM Blair have any influence in the current conflict or is he just delaying his holiday to avoid media photos of him sunbathing while the Middle East burns?

Cause even though he's messed up...leaving Prescott in charge would be the other alternative...so in that respect...I AM GLAD Tony's postponed his holiday!!

Neither the USA or UK have much influence in the current conflict, both can come and go and meet with the UN, but this will be well after the Hezbollah have been pushed over the border.

The crisis in the Middle east I believe is much bigger than we realize. Hezbollah is just getting the ball rolling for Iran. The US is bringing more troops into Iraq. Why would we do that if Iraq is ready to take over security of their own country. I believe the proverbial crap is about to his the fan over there.

yes he does hav some influence although the united nations is as powerful as a cucumber.The real power is with Mr Bush and Mr Blair has to win him over first.Israel must win at all costs for the sake of democracy and world order.

I think Blair is a phoney of the highest order and will do anything to make himself look good, while soldiers and civilians are dying. He sickens me. I voted for him in 1997 and have felt ashamed ever since. I haven't voted Labour since and will NEVER do so again.
