cracking a password is totaly depends upon your knowledge. And Study level.
First Thing you need to know which kinda of password you are going to crack. Will it be a Mail Password or some what web server password, or Soem What FTP server Passowrd or Remote Authorization password or Etc.

Second Thing Go ahead Complete Read the Subject of Target Cracks.

Forget Ankit Fadia he Make some Tricky Things in his Book.
I had gone through it 4 years Back.
That book was just a collection of tricks .

Go ahead Read Some Encription Algorithms .
Go ahead study some Firewalling Tech.
Go ahead Study the Basic Protocol knowledge (They ware not in your BE/BS/BCA books Indian Books are 10 year Backwards from the current knowledge).Poke some time with TCP/IP Protocol. To get a better understanding of That protocol.Untill you don't know you are in a big trouble.

Go ahead Study Some things Like kerbose,LDAP,NIS,md5 Checksome.

Join Some Good institute on Hardware and network studies,
Ethitical Hackers Programs is the best knowledge Base available in the market.

Again Note there is not a single institute in india or world that would teach you how to hack or crack.
This is a serious crime and you will find yourself is a great trouble.
Only thing you can do study and practice on your own server or LAN.
Don't try to do any stupid thing at any companies in the world.
they are very serious abt security.there is a seperate post called Administrator he keep a close watch on the activities going on the server.

Do this if you want to help others if you want to disturb others go ahead and enjoy the Laws
