No there is no reason for selecting a jersy color, and nothing to do with sponsors.
Its upto the management what they likes to select as a jersy color, but there can't be a major change, like one team cannot change its jersy similar to another.
Pakistani team has switched back to lime colored jersy because the management says that this color is lucky for us, in 92 and 99 we got similar kit and we got into the finals on both occassions.

NEW ZEA'S HAD GREY COSTUME ONCE.
AS BLACK IS NOT TAKEN BY ANY OTHER TEAM, THEY SWITCHED TO THAT.

IT SEEMS THAT AUSSIES SWITCHING THEIR COLORS.

HOWEVER, SPONSORS INFLUENCING THE GRAPHICS AND COLOR COMBINATIONS.

BUT THE THEME COLOR WILL NOT CHANGE.
