Hi. I have an older daughter and another going through the "Pimple" stage now. Some of the pimples are jsut your regular blackhead type, but some are those big festering yucky ones. In the case of blackheads, we have found over the years that a mild soap and a light buffer help. A very very very soft nail brush is good. If you can't find one, grab a soft toothbrush, but make sure you let everyone know not to use it on their teeth!!! LOL Gently rub the toothbrush in small circles, the area where the blackheads are, using the mild soap. Rinse well with clean water.
Now, for the festering red ones, try toothpaste! Yes, I know it sounds weird, but it works. It might not heppen overnight, but it will heppen!!! Just dab a small amount on the area you need. It may feel a little funny when it starts to dry, but you will feel better soon. One last thing, you might want to apply the toothpaste prior to going to bed, that way you don't have to look crazy when you go to school/work or uni etc. hehehehe In the morning, just wash your face as usual. If your skin is heavily infected, I would suggest applying a light coat prior to you going out in the morning.
I hope this works for you.
Good luck and have a great day/night.
Cheers.

i'm 15 and i recently discovered that my pimples are caused by sensitive skin.
use a mild cleanser (like clean adn clear daily pore cleanser or neutrogena sensitive skin solutions) once a day. i use it when i shower or right before i go to bed if i don't shower that day.
be sure to moisturize no matter what type of skin you have. i use aveeno daily moisturizing lotion.
if you wear makeup, try to use base/foundation as little as possible. if shine is a problem, use powder.
try not to focus on your skin so much. i removed almost all the mirrors from my room and i think it helped.
be sure to use a sunscreen, too, if you go outside. i use coppertone waterbabies. it's in the stick form. it's fragrance-free, hypoallergenic, noncomodogenic, non-irritating, etc.
Good Luck!

I read that if you put a drop of honey on a zit around bedtime, by morning time it will be almost gone. Do it two days in a row. I tried it, it worked for me. Otherwise, go the expensive route and buy proactive. That worked for my daughter. You also have to be sure and wash your face every day, twice or more if you sweat a lot or work outside.
