That's a pretty sexists question. Perhaps You are betraying your intelligence with that question.
BTW Some one will give the example that men hold the highest jobs positions in the world. That's true, because women stay at home to care for the children.

What do you mean "we"??? Since when do you speak for everyone? Maybe you want to ask "why do men (that I know) think they are smarter than I am".
Then there's a possibility of a semi-intelligent answer (or at least some reasonable possibilities) But to the question you've asked, there is no possiblility of an intelligent answer. Just look at some of the ones you've already received.(in fairness, some are good - see freedomhammer's or M's for example)

first of all I am a man.I have never thought that I am smarter than a woman as a woman can out smart a man any day of the week with her mind not her strength.All men if they really think about it are the weaker sex due to the fact that we only use a quarter of our brains in a whole lifetime and women use a full half of theirs the kinnsey institute done studies on this and that is what they have found.Women are better organisers than we will ever be and this has been proven to me as my g/f has got my life organised better than I have ever been able to do myself.So to all the women out there just remember you use more of your brain power in a life time than any of the men out there.

All during school the girls are the scholars and we are the B students or less. When out of school in business or profession, if we can make up for those years of being the underdog, we do it. I am not saying it is right, though, and women are coming up to us in those fields. After a history test, I made a 97, and this girl expressed horror that I did as well as she did with me being a stupid boy.

It a common sense answer because woman belongs to the weaker sex and is covered by the "Woman Charter Law" in Singapore, as far as I know. But, always they (women) like to talk about sex equality then see for yourself why the law favour the woman over here.

Because they are stronger than us.i kno that doesn't make sense but believe me,in sum way -sum how unfortunatley men are stronger than women,so they let their strength take over their minds as if its their special power. they think they had the knowledge to kno what really should be goin on,problem is ........only women do!!!

Who is "we"? "We" could mean 'female chauvinist pig' in which case I can understand why this perception would be particularly vexing. A female chauvinist pig is second in intelligence to nobody, at least that's what they think.
