I have PCOD. I was diagnosed when I was 17 and I am almost 37 now. You will be relieved to know I have two children. I had to have ovarian drilling done to conceive the first child and I took the fertility drug clomid. My second child was born 2 yrs and 5 months after first without surgeries or drugs, A coworker of mine also has PCOD. She has two children also. She needed to do timings of ovulation to get pregnant but did not require other intervention.
A good ob-gyn can be so helpful if you are trying to conceive. Numerous websites exist online about PCOD that offer advice of how to cope and how to improve fertility odds.
Good Luck and hope I have been of some help to you! I really think we need to start an online PCOD support group.

I've heard of a couple of women that had unprotected sex because they knew their chance of conceiving was very small due to poly-cystic ovarian disease. And guess what?

They conceived!

The chance is small, but it still can happen.

This question would be much better directed towards an actual doctor rather than Yahoo! Answers... I would suggest asking your physician.
