Won't do any damage at all, it will just mean you have to use your username and passwords when you next visit sites that require them.

there are 2 types of cookies, one being the type you get when you visit a site such as bbc.co.uk and bt.com,these are safe websites, but still place a cookie on your p.c when you visit, secondly there are spyware cookies, which are placed on your p.c on purpose to find private information and to discover surfing habbits
as you know cookies can be deleted in internet options, but a good way of finding bad cookies is to either install a good anti-spy program(adaware personal ,avalible from http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/)is a brilliant tool for finding bad cookies, and then you can delete(recommended)or quarintine them
if you need to change your anti-virus in the future, try using panda titanium 2006(http://www.pandasoftware.com/home/particulares/default),this has virus and spyware scanners as normal, but also disenfects bad cookies,as it classes them as spyware and it cleans them automatically,so you never have to worry about them, just let panda do it for you,if you want to try it for 90 days why not visit http://www.pandasoftware.com/microsoft/english/,and download the trial
good luck
