But for normal car manufacturers, the Jaguar XKR's are fast

1966 ac cobra 427 it was 425hp w/ a aluminum body they weighed around 2600 lbs they were one of the fastest production cars. This car in the mid 80's was run against the new body style corvette(new body of 1984-1996) and they only thing that the corvette did better from 0 to 100mph and back to stop was it was able to stop faster. It only took Chevy 20 years to still not make it as fast but stop quicker.

The bugati veron (252mph), but they are only making a few. otherwise it's the enzo, zonda s, or the "kounigseg" (however you spell it!) ccx!
