Astigmatism is a warping of the shape of the eye. While people without astigmatism have eyes that are perfectly round and symmetrical, people who have astigmatism, like me, have eyes that are slightly misshapen. This affects depth perception and the ability to see clearly. There is no way to reverse this or improve it with home remedies. The only options are to wear glasses or contacts, or to have optical eye surgery. Eye surgery will only reverse the problem. For example, if you are near-sighted, eye surgery will cause you to become far-sighted, and vice versa. However, your vision will never be 20/20. My eyes are too sensitive to wear contacts, so I have to wear glasses. I like glasses because they are easy to take off, and you can get them in all sorts of cute styles and colors. Surgery isn't really an option for me, because I feel that it's too invasive and won't completely correct the problem.

Wearing the prescription glasses right way around, the astigmatism is already corrected. If not, the sill is on the wrong side.

No. Astigmatism is not correctable in that way. Go back to your optician.
