The Twilight Zone.
The storylines and overall writing are classic television!
There was a "twist" or a big "pay-off" to every ending; as another answerer said "a moral." In short, the stories made you think.

That's a tough decision because both shows have some great episodes like (Serving Man-TZ) or (I, Robot-OL). The both had a lot of guest stars that become great actors/actresses (William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy and Buddy Ebsen to name a few). Even they both had great opening when they first came on and both came back as remakes in the 90's.
Man this is really a tough decision but I will have to choose Twilight Zone.

Twilight Zone, of course.
Mind binding story lines.
They even tried to film a remake of "the Zone".
It was ok, but the old TZ is still the best.

Twilight zone. That show is a classic. I looked foreward to watching it when I was a kid. Back in the day it was the bomb.
