ok. get it patented.
that takes time,
mean while get working on a website to promote it.
not a dodgy one, like--www.freewebs.com/my invention
have one line www._______.com

then once its patented, get a few companies to recognise you. make videos on google videos, and you tube and msn space- some girl got recognised by a record company from there. email a few companies. that way you dont have to waste much money producing it, you can sell the idea to a manufactureing company. must be a company that can be trusted to pay.

if its not that good, then find someone with cash, maybe a rich uncle or something. make plenty, patent it, make a website and sell it your self rather than sell it to a company.

WARNING, there was a woman that invented that babies bottle that doesn't leak, the idea was taken by some companies, and she spent alot of money sew ing them

SORRY IF I CANT SPELL im only a kid

mail me if u succeed

First REALLY make sure nobody has already done it.....or you could just waste your time & effort getting patents.

You DON'T need a patent to approach a possible manufacturer or backer - just a REALLY good 'non-disclosure' contract.

To get any product made & launched, you may NEED:

A business plan - target market, selling & manufacturing costs, potential unit sales...etc.
A WORKING prototype - this can cost a LOT.
Solutions to ANY and ALL problems that a client may raise.
A firm belief that it WILL work, WILL sell, and WILL make both you and any other party money.

If possible try to avoid 'invention houses' or 'internet patents' as they WILL take a HUGE chunk of your earning IF they think it's worth anything. You may also have to sign over any inventors rights to them to get backing....

I have several inventions and have found that these Internet companies are unreliable for getting patents. Unfortunately, these days it takes money, and lots of it, out of your pocket, or using a sponsor. It will take 3-5 years to get the patent, due to the overwhelming amount of patent applications being filed every day by the computer industry.

See if there is a chapter of IBI Global near you (www.ibiglobal.com). It's a wonderful national organization that helps entrepreneurs start new businesses, go through the inventing process, etc. Local meetings are free and can be very helpful when you are getting started.
