Don't know how much but I am pretty sure it would be considerable. I personally would never buy a house near a pylon because of the risk of it being struck by lightening in a thunderstorm and also because the effect on our bodies of electromagnatism which can cause all sorts. It is not asthetically pleasing either.....

I personally would not buy a house near a pylon, simply because of the suspected risk of cancers. However some people are not aware, or simply do not believe it.

Two issues for me.

One: possible link to cancer.

Two - Ground rent income from the Electricity Board. How much?

Personally if you believe there is a link then no amount of money is worth it.

a big effect, a woman in Bournemouth couldn't sell her house due to on being less than 10 metres from her front door.
There is no proven link to cancer,that's pure scaremongering.

I understand that if you put up an aerial (antenna) in your loft connected to a fluorescent tube, and the other end to earth(ground) you get free light., so WHAT is it doing to our bodies.
